Alison Greenhorn

Auckland artist Alison Greenhorn was born in South Africa and studied art in Johannesburg. She has Diplomas in Art & Design and Graphic Design specialising in fine art printmaking and spent many years working in advertising and design.

Alison's Artistic talent has many sources of influence drawn from nature, naive and primitive art, illumination, iconic art, ancient worlds, mediaeval times, travel and past experiences. Alison writes that her "themes are varied and often embody strong symbolism that is drawn from the strata of the subconscious thus expressing the multiplicity of the soul. The artwork is both personal and universal."

She has recently discovered jewellery making as a new artform and inspiration.
